Biography: William C. Last
William C. Last, Jr. is a licensed California attorney whose practice primarily emphasizes litigation, arbitration, and mediation on behalf of companies and individuals involved in the construction industry. He is a name partner in the firm of Last & Faoro. A firm that specializes legal services for the construction industry.
Mr. Last , for over thirty years, has represented developers, lenders, design professionals, sureties, insurance carriers, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in a wide range of matters relating to mechanics’ liens, stop notices, construction failures, patent and latent construction defects, payment disputes, general contract and bidding disputes, and professional liability, as well as in disputes concerning delays, acceleration, disruption, and payment. He will gladly provide a list of representative clients and cases upon request.
Mr. Last was born in San Francisco, California in 1948. Mr. Last earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nevada (B.A., 1972), his law degree from San Francisco Law School (J.D., 1978), and his Masters of Business Administration from Golden Gate University (M.B.A., 1982). He was admitted to the bar in California in 1978 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court, Northern California, Central California, Southern California, Eastern California Districts, the Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, the U.S. Tax Court, and the California State Courts. Mr. Last also holds a California Contractor’s License (A&B).
Mr. Last is a contributing editor for the California Real Property Reporter, published by Matthew Bender & Co., Inc., and has written many construction-law related articles for trade publications.
